World Championship Cheese Contest

This past March, Wisconsin Cheese Maker's Association held the World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison, WI.  2, 313 cheeses and butters competed from 20 countries, more entries than ever before.  Springside Cheese Corporation entered its Bandaged Cheddar, a category we won first place in in 2009's United States Champion Cheese Contest.  Additionally, in 2011, Wayne Hintz of Springside Cheese Corp won Best in Class and came in second for the Bandaged White Cheddar he made for Red Barn Family Farms.  In this year's World Champion Cheese Contest, Springside Cheese Corp came in fourth place, only after Red Barn Family Farms (who won first, second and third places), with the bandaged cheddar he made for them. 

We'd like to extend a huge thanks and congratulations to the Wisconson Cheese Maker's Association for hosting such a hugely participated in international event as well as to all those who competed.  We're excited and proud to remain a part of both the national and international cheese making community.  We will continue to make high quality cheese for years to come.
